Hubby and I rarely go to movies. "Lincoln" was an 'exception'. And, pleasantly, "Lincon" was also an 'exceptional' movie. Even though the historical outcome of the movie is well known... one felt transported back to the time and place of this historic moment in American history.
Superb acting by all... fabulous cast. Daniel Day-Lewis might just have 'channelled' Mr. Lincoln, as his portrayal was so very beliveable. The anguish and caring and compassion of the man came through beautifully.
Have not watched the Academy Awards show in many years since we don't go to the movies much. However, this movie is Oscar worthy in many categories.
Well worth seeing and hubby and I are so glad we did!
