Where's John Wayne when you need him?

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie.Everyone was telling me how great it was. Well, for me it wasn't!. As fine a job as Jeff Bridges does as Rooster Cogburn, He's not John Wayne. He's a better actor but, for me, he was often unintelligible. When John Wayne played the part you could understand every word, at least as far as I can remember it.
Matt Damon - a great LeBeef.
Josh Brolin - excellent as Tom Chaney.
All in all, an enjoyable movie but not the great movie it has been hyped to be.
If you want to see a great movie, go see The King's Speech!

Wonderful movie

Did you like A Chorus Line; Chicago; Cabaret? Bob Fosse type choreography? If you did you'll love Burlesque. If you are looking for great music, beautiful women & an evening of pure light enjoyment, this movie is for you.
Cher is - as usual - terrific. Christina Aguilera has a great & powerful voice. Stanley Tucci does another super job as does Eric Dane.
In case you couldn't tell, I LOVED THIS MOVIE!

This is not a sports movie! Clint Eastwood has done a masterful job - again - in showing the thinking of Nelson Mandela as he brings his country out of the aparthied mentality.
Don't miss this one.
