I watched this movie today. I have to say that I'm a huge fan of Michael's work on youtube, but this movie is pretty bad. I'm actually disappointed.
The acting is horrible. He chose people who he knew personally to play most of the parts. The story line is bad, too. The internet can't be taken seriously.. especially if it's about 4chan.
Those "scary-pop-ups" weren't exactly unexpected. It took too long to get to the point where you figure out who/what it is, and it didn't explain why.. maybe it's because I'm blonde or they left off too much.
The ending was WAY too far fetched.. I guess you could also say that too much just hit you all of a sudden. It was like if it was a sunny day in a nice quiet neighborhood, and then BAM! everyone's houses explode while unicorns are in the sky shooting lasers, and then it cuts to the credits. What I'm trying to say is that it was unnecessary drama adding on to the ending without an reasonable explanation.
But if I had to say something positive about the movie, I'd say the camera work was pretty good.
