I loved the slow build. I loved the tension it created... It was a fantastic horror movie set in the most intimate place of our lives.
Paramount bought it with the idea of remaking it. Thankfully they were talked out of that and into releasing essentially the original film.
An original film that cost 11 grand to make.
Loved it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Sam Raimi is a master of filmmaking.
This is one of the best B-movies I've seen. Tarantino, eat your heart out.
His use of sound (or often no sound), his wry humor in the face of horror and his ability to take things so far over the top that, as so many people seem to realize from watching, they don't know if they should be scared or laughing... it all makes for one of the funnest movie going experiences I've had in a while.
