Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt were exceptional in this film. A good character/slice-of-life story and not the type of film that concludes wrapped with a pretty bow! If you are looking for lighthearted flick this one is not for you. There is really no humor in it. But if you want something well-acted and without the Hollywood glitz, rough around the edges with a smattering of true life, this one's for you!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This is a brilliant film with amazing performances by Wahlburg and Bale! Bale most definitely should get the Oscar! I am not a great fan of boxing, but those scenes that included it were not particularly graphic. The focus was on the story of the brothers and their path to success. A must-see!

Good for kids, not much else

My one son loved the movie, but my husband and I nearly fell asleep. Story just dragged, plot line somewhat weak. Graphics were great though! With the quality of the stories in animated films coming out today, its always disappointing when we have to sit through one that doesn't make the grade.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Pleasant surprise!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this movie. I went in just expecting another mediocre kids movie with a weak plot line and found something completely different. The animation is fabulous, the story is engaging and there is enough adult humor to keep parents watching!
