Trouble with the Curve uses a backdrop of major league baseball to examine issues of aging, relationships, respect, and priorities. The screenplay, the director, and the actors delivered a great film that positions youth in opposition to experience, corporate greed in opposition to compassion, and technology in opposition to wisdom. At the heart of the film is a troubled relationship between Mickey (Amy Adams) and her long-widowed father Gus (Clint Eastwood). The relationship is dynamic as the film evolves, and exposes the dangers of leaving words unspoken for decades.
