What a blast! Even though YouTube has made Queen concerts available to anyone who takes the time to search, when you see it "up close and personal" on the big screen, it's a totally different experience.
Coming off their Live Aid "best 20 minutes in Rock 'n Roll history" performance, they were in top form and the camera work was outstanding---the Hungarian film crew did a great job of capturing close up detail that you normally never see and the commentary up front and throughout just added to the pleasure. The Knebworth concert clearly shows John throwing his guitar into the amplifier----last venue of the tour and Freddie had already let it be known he didn't want to tour any more---so sad. It's great that we get to see them at the top of their form---when can we see more of their concerts? My only regret was the apalling lack of promotion for this great film. Our theatre was almost empty----something has to be done to get the word out otherwise the producers won't do it again. ...any way the wind blows.
