Streep as always is not afraid to reveal her character's strengths and weaknesses. Gracefully done! Jones was so true to his character. Superb! I have been privy to marriage counselors that were exactly like Steve Carvell's character. Something I found different and essential in this sort of film was how the camera was directed to not only get close ups but to zero in on the eyes, windows to the soul. This film got you in the heart and soul and head, too. The story line was so typical of married couples that become estranged while striving for the American dream and raising children. The love is still there just on the back burner for the sake of the marriage and family kept together.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.
