An early summer escape . . .

There is a reason this was released in April, instead of May. It represents and early summer escape prior to the onslaught of superhero (Iron Man, Man of Steel, et al) and science fiction (Star Trek, After Earth et al) fare. It has a nice story, good special effects, and nice art direction but sometimes struggles with its pacing (it comes in at over 2 hours). I would recommend it for a Saturday afternoon escape - before the meat of the summer movie season starts in 2 weeks.
