I took my 5 year old granddaughter to see the movie. She was so excited to see it. But, by about half way through, she was so frightened by the bears that she was trembling all over! She begged to go home! I made her stay until the end (since I knew it HAD to have a good ending), and she was all happy that she did get to see the end, but it was pretty traumatic!
If you are thinking about taking a young child that is easily frightened, think hard about it. You might want to wait and watch at home! This isn't the normal Disney type "bad" guy. It's a huge frothing mangy looking bear! And, I do have to admit, it WAS a bit frightening!
Otherwise....I enjoyed it, although it doesn't really feel like a normal Disney princess movie. Not much music, and way more action.
