This could have been such a funny movie with these two stars. They obviously got along well, but it was just a rehash of every guy buddy cop movie ever made. Foul language just for the sake of it from McCarthy, uptight character from Bullock. Maybe if they had reversed the roles it would have been funnier.
Of course, my friend and I may have been the only two in the theatre not laughing hysterically throughout.
There were good moments, but they were few and far between. Jane Curtain was underused.

No, I do not recommend this movie.

It was a fun summer movie, but definitely not as good as the original. It did show how they became a team, but never really explained if there were other teams. (Never really saw any others...)
I'd recommend it for any Monsters fans, though.

Beautiful opera to begin with, and the added backstage shots/information was incredible. Will definitely come back to see more of these at the theatre.
