Though the story is clichéd, the fact that it was from a male's perspective, made it fresh. Channing Tatum's charm shines through and is quite a good actor...he seems capable of almost any role. I would love to see him in a musical as a modern day Gene Kelly . The supporting casts' acting was surprising good, even though many were wasted.
Based on trailers, one would expect a great deal of dance numbers, as I did. Unfortunately, this was not the case...which I am sure that many will be disappointed.

Yes, I recommend this movie.
