Would it surpass Lord of the Rings Trilogy?

Lord of the rings trilogy is a classic specially Return of the King. The first film of the Hobbit fails in comparison but it is still entertaining and worth watching. I like the 3D version and it was shot in 70mm film, really crisp and visually nice. I can't wait for the next adventures of Bilbo
Pros great story, great visual effects, great musical score/music, great directing
