I know I would have enjoyed seeing this live production, but if I hadn't seen this movie version of it, I would have missed a lot. Each actor was extraordinary. The movie gave me close-ups of faces and costumes and make-up that I would not have seen in a theater. The language was clear and sounded so contemporary. Please, please do more movies of theater of this caliber!
I have flirted with the idea of going to Stratford in Ontario for years, but it is much more likely to happen now.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, extraordinary effects, understood every word, costumes!, make-up!, close-ups!, direction!, music!, sets!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
