This movie was extremely well done and I loved it! That being said, I do want to add one slight bit of criticism: The sub-plot story that explained Bane's connection to the villain in the first movie (trying to avoid a spoiler here) was rushed when the film rolled it out for us. It was almost a "by-the-way" kind of thing. As a result, I never thoroughly understood it -- and still don't. Now, this could just be me; so, I'm not going to complain about it too much. Suffice it to say that I understood it enough to stay on-board with the plot and intent. GO see this movie! Don't let fear block you from going to the theater, or your just letting the crazies win (referring to the theater shooting(s), of course).

Ridley Scott makes sure that by the end of the movie you know that all of the aliens in the film are unpredictable, dangerous, and can trick you into thinking they are what they seem. I does not tie directly into "Alien" and that is clear as well. Scott also makes it a point to tell you that the human mind may never be able to understand a much higher intelligence, regardless of how we try. Gorgeous film and captivating science fiction. The acting is flat over all, regardless of two standout performances, the lead and the robot. To explain what I mean by flat, consider the fact that when the humans saw what they hoped to find, they took it in stride as if they'd seen remnants of other alien civilizations before and so they took their latest discovery with cool detachment. OK, there was a little excitement, but not as much as one would expect. That said, I loved the film and hope there's another one.

Cons all but two characters had no depth
