This movie is more of a mystery than a horror movie. There are no creatures running around killing people. But there are creatures, there are scary moments, and people do die. Just not like it happened in all of the Alien movies.
The crew goes looking for the answers to one mystery, and instead find something else, and the audience finds answers to events that happened before the movie "Alien" took place, including the "Space Jockey" and early Alien DNA.
I don't recommend movies unless I know the individual well enough, and since I am writing this to people I don't know, I just want to tell you enough so you don't get your expectations off from what the movie is (and isn't).
The film looks incredible, the actors do excellent work.
The dialogue doesn't explain everything you see, but it does provide many hints given as to why some things are happening, so you will have to do some thinking.
I think it is an excellent science fiction movie. Just don't expect another "Alien", or "Aliens", or any of the other Alien movies.
Also, there were two trailers shown on websites that do not appear in this movie. One is the interview with the Michael F. character, and the other is the scene with Guy Pearce.
