Anyone who goes in thinking this is anything close to an "ALIEN" Prequel will be thoroughly disappointed. While some elements are there: The Weyland Corporation from the Alien Series is present, albeit minus the Yutani part...( think Exxon without the Mobil) While saying anymore would spoil the fun...one will have to see it for themselves.
The visuals are quite stunning. While Dark, and sometimes shadowy scenes lit by flash light,
Scott likes to reveal without revealing. you'll see only part of the bigger picture without any more explanation than what you just saw or might have missed.
This is really a Origin of life story. The two main characters, have found cave paintings from different areas of the world but centuries apart..nothing else connects them except the same depictions.
Pay close attention to DAVID the resident Android ( this is not a secret, as it is revealed early unlike in ALIEN) His actions are a clue.
to give more away and to try to explain the rest of the story would just confuse. If you have seen ALIEN, forget that movie. This film only snippets of comparisons. This is overall an excellent movie, although it will leave unanswered questions. It would be a mistake for a sequel not to be expected. See it, decide for yourself, that's the easiest thing you can do.
Pros great story
Cons bad acting
Yes, I recommend this movie.
