Prometheus can be a lot to chew on in one two-hour period, but I think the movie did a good job of giving us, the audience, enough to think about and talk out with friends afterwards. There is a lot at play without the whole "we're on a possibly hostile planet with possibly hostile lifeforms awaiting us" element, and that really helps the movie resonate with a wider swath of people.
The movie also excelled at driving its own story line, while fittingly giving us the Alien background much were expecting.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, fun to discuss
Yes, I recommend this movie.
