I have been waiting for this film since it was announced and I was not disappointed! My opinion is obviously biased, especially being a fan of ALIEN and Ridley Scott, but my friends whom accompanied me to the midnight showing where just as much in awe and I can easily say enjoyed the film.
As for some of the negative response to the film, I personally find some of the criticism to be nitpicky, and at best formed due to preformed ideas as to the film's story and plot. This was obviously a much awaited release and speculation had been flying, it was hard to go into the movie not having a single clue what was going to happen.
I feel that Scott and the cast did a wonderful job, and the production could not have been better.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, amazing effects, great soundtrack
Yes, I recommend this movie.
