If you want to know more about the Space Jockey species from the first Alien film, watch this movie. It may not specifically have a direct correlation between the Space Jockey in the first Alien, but you can make the connection and imagine how a ship full of alien egg cargo got to LV-426 after watching this film. The visuals were stunning. I thought the acting was excellent, there are a lot of big name actors in this film. The story was everything I had hoped for. The HR Geiger art element was awesome. The 3d looked great due to the way the film was shot. I have read quite a few negative or so so reviews, but I truly believe if you're an Alien fanatic like I am, you'll love this movie. I caught Alien Resurrection on TV today after I got home from seeing Prometheus a 2nd time, that movie is just so horrible in comparison to Prometheus. I can easily put Prometheus up in the top 3 of the Alien franchise, right up there with the original and Aliens.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, great visuals and 3d
Yes, I recommend this movie.
