I really enjoyed the movie. I took my 73 year old mom, 24 year old daughter and myself to see the movie. Of course I am a Dark Shadows fan. There is one place in middle that slowed. Really liked quest spot of originial Barnabus, Angeleque, Victoria Winters and David Shelby (can't remember his role but remember him well). Didn't care much for the Angeleque in new movie. Don't like Barham woman much but she did a great job as Dr. Hoffman. Hope there is a sequal...I'd go see it. My younger daughter didn't appreciate the movie much since she isn't familiar much with the Dark Shadows series. she is aware of the story since we looked at the tv remake with Ben Cross. Wish they had reruns of the original to help refamiliarize myself and my duaghter with the storyline. I bought Scotts book and it really helped to bring all into perspective. Johnny Depp did a great job as Barnabus. I was worried it would be all comedy, but it wasn't. The one thing missing should have been a tribute at the beginning or end in Memory of Jonathan Frid.
Pros great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.
