Flavor is There, but...

This movie definitely has the taste of the Indiana Jones franchise, and the new cast works, but is way over the top in unbelievable adventures - except the ending (which does kinda fit). Previous Indiana Jones films carried the fantastical in a much more believable context within the storyline.
The script could have used a little more at the beginning to draw us into the story and stop throwing nibbles to what occurred in-between time periods.
Special kudos to Karen Allen - looks great, plays the role to the hilt, and we have lost nothing between episodes.
