As good as it is to see Ridley Scott back in the SciFi saddle, I have to say I was a bit disappointed in this movie. I saw the original Alien in the theater as a new release and have been waiting a LONG time for this. The visuals are stunning, the story has promise, but the flick just doesn't quite live up to the hype. In truth, on one of the VERY few days I get to spend with my wife at the movies (sans kids), I would have rather seen MIB III or Avengers (again). Worth the price of admission, just don;t set your hopes TOO hi (as I apparently did). Regardless, thank you Mr. Scott for at least answering a few long lingering questions. Oh yeah, plenty of setup for sequels.

Best movie I've seen in a long time. Great for fans and non-fans alike. A great mix of action, effects and humor. Everyone laughed at some pont and the humor wasn't overdone or put in as an afterthought like some movies, particularly some of the recent hero-based flicks. As the title says, Joss delivers large. Thanks for a great flick.
Now, I hope Prometheus is as good...
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, awesome
