i'm a big x-men fan from the comic days and while the storylines are non-canon, i do enjoy them. this movie is no exception. while movie sequels tend to not be as good as the original, this is definitely the exception. i enjoyed watching the movie when i went into it with the mindeset of just enjoying the movie and not being critical. you know.... keep an open mind. it was better than expected in all areas. i'd pay to see it again in the theatres...

i'm a big fan of the series in general and read many of the continuing stories in the star trek universe. that being said, this reboot series is less than stellar. the first was ok and had plenty of action. this one, not so much. i enjoyed the movie in general but the sliced and diced storyline was drawn out to allow for beautiful filler, but no story. they would have been better off leaving out the visuals and packing the movie into a 90 minute version of itself. while worth the price of admission, i would NOT pay for the underwhelming 3D.
perhaps JJ Abrams should stick to tv shows, because his movies kinda suck.
