This sequel was simply sad. Bad screen writing led to bad acting. Any amount of fantastic special effects could not cover up the holes. I did enjoy seeing the film in 3D, however, particularly in scenes that included the foggy ash floating through the sky like quiet snowflakes. Other than that-I wouldn't say it was terrible, but it certainly was not great.
Pros creepy creatures
Cons bad acting, bad screenplay
No, I do not recommend this movie.

The movie started slow and remained slow until the very end which was not riveting at all. It was predictable and the loud-noise 'scare tactics' were really over-used and ridiculous in this film. It wasn't a terrible film, but it certainly wasn't great.
Cons slow
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Wonderful Adaptation

The movie was truly well done and was a lovely adaptation of a great piece of literature. I do believe that it was incredibly beautiful in cinematography particularly with the scenes in the capitol. It was very believable but left me wanting just a bit more. I love the books...and of course-a movie cannot include everything...
Yes, I recommend this movie.
