Most movies feel like extended sitcoms - 20 minutes into it you know what the characters will be doing for the next 1:20. This picture unwraps slowly, and in different directions. It could all be an unsatisfying mess, but Jason Reitman pulls all those threads together and tells an emotional thoughtful and very relevant story.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A bunch of great actors but the story just never came together. I can stand a slow start, but by the time it got going I was no longer interested.

this second installment was phoned in. From the writers to the actors to the animators. Just a lack luster disappointment. The first one was so great.
