Very good adaptation with minor issues

If you are a big fan of the Hunger Games you must remember that the movie simply cannot live up to the book. With this in mind, I genuinely loved the movie. Jennifer Lawrence delivered a very impressive performance, and after being wary of her as Katniss I am now a fan. The one significant part of the movie that was unimpressive was Woody Harrelson's performance as Haymitch. He did little justice to his character, and his performance was not even close to what Haymitch was like in the books. Overall, the movie has some plot lines that don't follow up with the book as to be expected, but otherwise a very gripping and entertaining movie whether you have read the books or not.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
