Almost like a mediocore book report

I brought my 15 yr old because we had both read the series. She loved it but I on the other hand was a little disappointing. They did do a great job having the movie line up with the book, however it felt as though a middle schooler was doing a book report.... a really long book report. It wasn't horrible and I would say it is worth renting when it comes out on DVD, but it felt as though they tried to cram 2 movies into one. The story line kept moving, which was great, but you were never given a chance to get to know the characters and fall in love with them. The books were MUCH MUCH better!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
