If you enjoyed the book, you should like this film. At 2:22, it is about as long as you can get away with. That said, like any book adaption, there has to be compromises. But this film doesn't skimp on the most important element of the book- the excellent character development. There is plenty of event based action too, but the leads do well to make the personal interaction the key. For my own taste, this obsession with hand held "docu-drama" style of filming is getting very overdone and at times it just gives you a headache, but that has more to do with production choices then storyline. The film is good- go see it.
