Because I read the book and enjoyed it so, I have eagerly awaited the movie. While it necessarily compressed the story, it was an extremely fun and thrilling experience. My main misgivings were the jump through 20 years from Lincoln's marriage in 1841, and the Civil War. But, it remains a fun afternoon at the multiplex.
