As expected...Book was better

I really did not want to see this movie. The books are always better and the movie usually ends up ruining it for me. But how could I NOT go see it, after I LOVED the books so much! So I did, and as expected, I was a little disappointed. The movie was good and probably would be great for someone who did not read the books. The movie changed some things that I felt were important in the book, it skipped things (as expected, I mean, the movie was already 2hrs and 20 min!) and rushed through some of the really good parts of the book. With that being said, it stuck to the book more so than other movies that were based on books, the effects were good, awesome scenery, and a really cool depiction of a story set in the future. As my movie partner for the night said to me, I don't know....I liked it, but it just didn't leave me wanting more! Well said!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
