I do understand some of the disappointments people have from leaving out powerful points from the book, but I also understand the way that movies and books work are not the same. Books will always be better for the depth they give the characters, and the length is never an issue. With movies is different. I felt they did an excellent job translating the book into a movie, staying true to the plot and the persona of the characters. I extremely enjoyed watching it as an appreciator of books and of movies.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
