Safe House is a Safe Bet to See

The fingerprints of the Bourne movies are all over this film, from the way one of the protagonists is introduced to the audience, the shaky hand held cams and the ill fated love interest with a foreign acccent to the intense ultimate fighter scenes and demolition derby car "chases" (not so much chasing as crashing). Still and all, this movie has Denzel, Robert Patrick, Ruben Blades, Brendan Gleeson, Vera Farmiga and Ryan Reynolds. My wife thought Reynolds developed his character nicely and I loved Denzel, particularly the scenes between Blades (a favorite) and Washington. Don't expect too much in the originality department and you'll be rewarded by the acting and the action.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
