As someone who has heard of this book series but has never read it, I actually found this movie to be quite interesting. Now I will tell you that I love all things supernatural and therefore this was definitely in my niche. However my fiance did not find this movie to be as good as I did. He thought the storyline was not very interesting, but he doesn't enjoy the supernatural. I disagree and thought that not only was it palatable but enjoyable and relatable. (Though the characters do not pass as teenagers)
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.
