We hadn't seen the first two movies in the series, so I can't compare this one to its predecessors, however, I can say that my 4 yo loved it. There were no scary parts, which was great. Just bright colors, lots of animals and music - all her favorite things. And as an adult, I thought the story and dialogue was funny and interesting enough that I'd see it again. Also we didn't see it in 3D because my daughter can't handle 3D yet (wigs her out), but I can see how this movie would be great in 3D.
