Probably better in 3-D

I'm 21 and I rarely go to the movie theatre. I would rather wait until I can rent it to save my money. I loved Despicable Me so I decided to check this out. It was no where near as good! Definately geared towards a young audience. The animals were too over the top cute for my taste- like the obnoxious bear you see in the cell phone comercials. I'm not a fan of musicals either, so I did not appreicate all the singing songs- there were about 5. I didn't see it in 3-D but that would have made it better. All the big name actors were nice but didn't really add to the movie much (and I love all of them as actors).
Bottom line- wait until it comes out on DVD unless some young kid really wants to see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
