I am a fan and I was let down. The left out important details. They did not explain the relationships that Katniss had developed or had already had. They didn't explain the Avox's or why Haymitch was an alcoholic. They didn't express that even though Effie appeared proud and cheerful that it was all in fear. They didn't emphasize the ignorance of the people in The Capital.They sugar coated the killings and made it hard to see with the excessive shaking of the camera. The arena scenes were rushed and I understand we only have so much time in a movie but the missed pivotal points. I think the only person who's role was shown correctly was President Snow's. That was the only dark moment I felt in the movie. I just hope the 2nd movie is better. The Hunger Games wasn't horrible but it definitely could have been better.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
