Great special FX as usual, but none of the freshness of the first movie. Very weak story. Looked at my watch several times.

Spectacular effects, weak story

I saw this in Imax 3D, and it was wonderful visually. I loved some of the little things like bugs and cinders that seemed to be right in your face. The story was very weak, though, as if they spent 10 minutes on story after 10 years on special effects. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. The technology promises great things to come.

Great performances by Downey and Law. Rachel McAdams was good, too. However, the movie was a bit too dark, too violent and too long for my taste.

Interesting idea, but they just didn't work hard enough on the story. Too much talking-head and walking-around time, not enough going on. When things actually happened they didn't hang together very well. On the plus side: Dakota Fanning's talent, the Hong Kong setting.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
