This movie is a class Pixar animated film, in that it tells a great story with a lot of well developed, funny characters. It's a great concept, lots of twists, and just great comedy. My kids 6 and 10 loved it, but I might have even loved it more. A lot of fun.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors

The Matrix: Unloaded

I really try to find the bright spot and respect the films I go see. And Tron certainly shows that a lot of time, money and effort went into it's making. The visuals are creative and at times hypnotic. But the story is just so impenetrable, especially for my young son who is part of its target audience. The great version of this movie was already done in the Matrix, where humans jacked themselves into a virtual world and fought for control. In Tron, a human just pops into a "grid" world that I have no idea where it exists. Then there are so many moving parts -- the maker, Kevin Smith and his doppleganger CLU, a guy named Tron who barely is in the movie, an ISO woman who's people were persecuted, we don't know why, and the notion that the baddies are going to get out of the machine and somehow take over the real world. It's just really hard to follow. And just not fun. There's an interesting father-son relationship, but everyone else is just a stuck-on character for plot, without a real journey. Sorry, this one was two hours of pretty white noise and draining confusion.
