I really enjoyed this movie. Especially being an African American man. We live in an age where movies are based on fantasy, and make believe superheroes. It's nice to see real American heroes that look like me. Although I am disappointed in some of the comments people have left in regards to the special effects. This is a movie about WWII. the 40's. The special effects spoke volumes about the types of planes and technology that was around back then. I guess people assume that since George Lucas was involved, that there should have been X-wing fighters, and even a cameo appearance by Darth Vader or Chewbaca. I think George Lucas did an excellent job, along with the cast, and crew. I am that much more proud of my heritage. And I am thankful that Mr. Lucas had the courage to tell this story. Not everyone wants to see African American men dressed like women, or playing thugs, pimps, or dirty cops.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
