A good idea, but...

The movie is based on a very interesting story, which unveil a dark facet of the Second World War: the place of African-Americans in the military in combat roles. Unfortunately, the storyline was poor and the special effects were disappointing, given that this was a movie signed by George Lucas.
The actors tried their best to bring life to a poor scenario and they must receive credit for their performance. Given the subject of the movie, this is a 'must see' movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
