A Weak Sequel

Outstanding special effects does not save this movie. The plot is weak and springboards off the original TRON, with the son now following in the father's footsteps into the nether world of software. The characters are cartoonish...oh, wait, they are supposed to be? They could cut 15 minutes out of this with no injury to the story.
Wait until it comes out of PPV and spend your money on better films.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This 3D technology is the future of movie making. James Cameron has done it again with a great story and stunning special effects. We were two rows from the screen and to the left of center and the seats were still great ...... something you could never say in a 2D movie. Don't bother with seeing it in 2D..its a waste of money. One gets the feeling you really are on the Na'vi's planet...and "I see you" will be the next catchphrase of 2010. Would I recommend it? Absolutely.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Hancock Disappointing

John Hancock (Will Smith) plays a down-and-almost-out superhero and drunken jerk (they wont let me use the a-h word) who creates chaos and destruction when he intervenes. He is such a problem that the public and the police are outraged. He meets up with Jason Bateman, a struggling PR type who works to remake Hancock's image. Charleze Theron plays Bateman's wife who turns out not to be what she appears, and in the process almost kills Hancock. A cheap and not too well done copy of the Superman story with a couple of plot twists. Good special effects and action sequences but poor plot development. Go see it if you need something to see and dont want to think too hard. The kids will like it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
