Not your average teen movie...

I have read the first book, and being a parent of two teens, was very familiar with all the near hysterical hype surrounding this film.
I went in, not really thinking I would fully enjoy it, and left pleasantly surprised at how much I did really enjoy the film.
Yes, there are some "cheesy" lines, and yes, the hype sometimes overpowered the actual film, but overall this was a great teen love story with a definite twist to it. I am actually looking forward to the other sequels to follow.
