Enjoyed the 1st one so we went and saw "2". Mostly "mature" people in the audience but the younger ones seem to enjoy it as well. Lots of action AND laughs. Go see it.
What a character study! Educational too. Excellent acting. Daniel Day-Lewis definitely deserves an Oscar. My ONLY disappointment? Very FEW African-Americans in attendance. This is a movie that ALL Americans need to see for a LOT of reasons. Lincoln went through hell while he was President.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, educational
I have to echo some of the other reviewers. A "typical" Jason Staham "kick ass" movie which is just fine with me. If you like him and his action flicks, you'll like this one too. No doubt about it!
We went and saw Chronicle today. Definitely a movie for the young crowd. The kind that are in 13-21 yr old range. The hand held camera effect during the movie was kind of a downer but the special effects which came later in the flick were ok. Young folks will like it but if you're an adult, go see "Man on a ledge" instead. ;)
Originally, after SEEING the low rating % of people that did not care for this movie, we were not going to see it. However, after READING the reviews from people, we changed our mind and were very pleased with the flick. The acting was superb and some people might call it a "character" study. My personal opinion is that because the movie doesn't have a "happy" ending, a lot of individuals gave it a poor rating. If you do decide to see this, BE sure and wait for the very short blurb at the END of the credits as it will give you some closure. ;)
Took a chance on this one as I normally check the reviews here first B4 I go see one, however my first choice "The Three Musketeers" didn't seem to fare very well in the reviews and I was in the mood for something different. I was very surprised with the concept of "time" being used as a currency. As an added plus, the young women were very nice to look at too. We were very pleased with this flick and I might even see it again.
