I haven't seen the 1984 original, so I can't compare the two. I really enjoyed the 2011 remake. It was fun to watch. While Kenny Wormald (Ren) and Julianne Hough (Ariel) won't win an Oscar for their acting, Miles Teller (Willard) is one to watch. I loved Miles in this film. I can't wait to see him on screen again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
