In WARRIOR, Director Gavin O'Connor gives America what it needs most in these times when Bank Loans and lack of Health Insurance are tearing families apart: power through forgiveness.Behind the main action is the story of one child, Tommy, seeking redemption with nobody in his corner, like Captain Ahab, hunting the angry monsters that chopped his heart off. He tried to save his mother from an abusive dad, only to see her die from cancer with no health insurance ,"pouring holy water on her body". He chose to become America's warrior as a Marine,only to see his buddy Manny die in Friendly Fire. This Modern American Epic celebrates everyday Joes and Janes heroically fighting for what money can not buy. O'Connor shows how Sports Competition can temper the unfair traumas of real life, reuniting families, and our Nation, by helping each other be the best that we can be. Moby Dick with a new ending: Yes we can, with faith, save our ship. It is okay to Tap-Out and be the Captains of our souls.
