Memorable characters played very realistically by actors. The first half was very difficult to watch but hang in there, it gets better. Interesting to see a continuum of OCD from Bradley Cooper at its worst, to DiNero and down to football fan fanatics.
Pros great story

Fluffer
Direction, acting, photography, sweep is grand. Story too contrived and over the top smaltzy. Still it was a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Looks like Spielberg borrowed from Shane, Gone with Wind, Lawrence of Arabia, National Velvet, Kubrick and probably a few others. Plus any New Englander knows you clear the field of surface rocks before you plow.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
