The movie was excellent--acting, visuals, script, all came together well. Given the nature of the plot, it was a bit difficult to follow, and I was left with a lot of questions. If you don't mind having to *think* about a movie, this one is for you! It could have been a tad shorter for me. Overall, 2 enthusiastic thumbs up.
I am not a big Harry Potter fan, but my s.o. is, so I've have seen a few of the movies. I have to say my biggest disappointment was that the one I went to (and paid extra for) was billed as "3D". Well, the 3D lasted about 3M(inutes). Literally. The first few minutes of the movie only. I was shocked. The rest of it was just OK, not a lot of cool special effects I had expected. Though I could follow the story fairly decently, even though I don't know the story line. It was OK--slightly entertaining, and I am sure big Potter fans will still like it, but I certainly wouldn't pay the extra for the 3D version. The 3D previews were much better than the 3D of the actual movie (and longer I think...).
