Took the whole family to it (wife & 3 teens). Plenty of action, good humor. Didn't drag at all. Everyone said it was great. (Try getting consensus with teen boys & girls!) Made for a good family time, plus we went to the fork&screen showing so a great meal to boot.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Slooooow! the only redeemable part of this movie was we watched it at the fork and screen theater. Sooo, the food was good. I had to have another double mojito just to stay to the predictable end...
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Wow! This was a winner on many levels, tech, special effects, script, acting. Fun, family, adventure. My teens were greatly impressed and saw it several times. It reminds me of "Dances with Wolves" meets Star Wars.
Not having my children read the books, I was unfamiliar with the story. So as a stand alone movie, I thought it did quite well. My 14 yr old daughter wanted to see it while my 13 yr old son thought it looked too kiddy for his "maturing" taste. I enticed them with the fork & screen theater and we all had a blast. My son turned to me part way through the movie and said how good it was and he would definitely see it again with friends. Of course my daughter has said the same. Very good for the family!
