Horrible story, horrible movie

THe story was devastiatng, the actors were so contained that it was difficult to feel much towards them, it was very slow and I actually left before the end because I disliked it so much Too bad, good cast, good writer.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie is a departure from most of the movies I have seen for awhile . The story is almost heartbreaking and involves a culture to which I am a stranger so for me it was peering in to what felt very foreign. I thought the main character, the 17 year old girl/woman was amazing. It was interesting that in this movie although the men had messed everything up in the end it was the women-folk who straightened out a huge mess.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
